Are you really available at 3am?
Yes. Our Google listing says open 24 hours because it is. Nights, weekends and bank holidays — if water is coming out of somewhere it shouldn't, ring 07858 117024 and you'll get a plumber, not an answerphone.
How quickly can you get to me?
We're based in Henham and cover a 15-mile radius across Hertfordshire and Essex. Bishop's Stortford and Saffron Walden are minutes away; Harlow, Braintree and Ware are further out but still within range. We'll give you a genuine arrival window on the call — and if we're held up, you'll hear from us rather than wondering.
Will I know the price before you start?
Always. We diagnose the problem, explain what's needed and agree the price with you before any work begins. Visits start from £75 for a standard appointment (Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm), from £125 for an urgent evening or weekend visit (weekday evenings 5pm–9pm, plus weekends and bank holidays from 8am–9pm) and from £165 for a late-night emergency visit (9pm–8am, every day including weekends and bank holidays). The final cost depends on the job, access and any parts required. No hidden charges. You approve the price before any work starts. No “while I was in there” extras added at the end. See our pricing.
Is my job too small to bother you with?
No. A dripping tap, a slow-filling cistern, a washing machine that needs plumbing in — small jobs are genuinely welcome, and plenty of larger firms won't touch them. We will.
What should I do while I wait for you?
For a serious leak: turn off the stop tap (usually under the kitchen sink), open the cold taps to drain the system, and move anything valuable clear of the water. We'll talk you through it properly on the phone — that call costs you nothing and often saves hundreds in damage.
Do you work with landlords and letting agents?
Yes — regularly. We coordinate access directly with tenants, keep you informed, and invoice clearly so the paperwork side is straightforward for your records.
